[Misc] SHARP MX-7500N Text Appear Smudged

    Hello Everyone,

I am thanking everyone for the help in advance.

I am having an issue with a SHARP photocopier MX-7500 that seems to smudge text vertically and move on subsequent pages. I have serviced the drum unit and the DV unit which I thought could be the issue.

Please any suggestions on what to do will help.

I would check the transfer belt. It looks to me that it is stalling.

I have also seen the secondary transfer belt slip on these machines.

I would say check the paper stop unit or transfer belt units. I have also seen a black drum unit cause it also once. Hope that helps.

Does this happen on copies and prints?

If you run it in the single color mode in each of the colors does it still happen.

This will tell you if it is a problem with the black only or if it is the transfer/second transfer.

If the fuser drive is slipping you could also get this.

Hello thanks for the suggestion so I have done the following

changed the primary transfer with a new one from office machine
I recently changed the secondary transfer belt
replaced fuser unit whole from office machine
              cleaned the registration sensor
its happeneijg on both copy and print and yes when I use the single color mode it's the same problem
i have also noticed that it does not occur when I print on A3 size

now I am sensing it might be a registration issue kinda confused tbh

You'll have to try a few dead stops to see where it is happening. The fuser suggestion is a good one; the fusers on these are less than spectacular.

It appears that the problem was the secondary transfer unit (tried with the unit from working machine)..

I recently changed the belt so I would have to disassemble this unit to trace what the problem was in the first place.....
                        Thank you for your contributions...................

                          Hi All

I am thinking about selling an MX7500 to one of our large print customers and haven't yet dabbled in this end of the Sharp lineup. Could some of you that have had issues with the model let me know what i might be in for. I would normally stop at the 6070 but this customer wants high output.

                          Thanks
