can a body print from a PC to a MX-6050N using a USB connection on the back of the MFP?...according to the Sharp help line you can't... sounds wrong to me...

If the PC has no ethernet port and the copiers port is free then you can use a USB to ethernet adaptor, and print through that.
The adaptor will be picked up by the PC as a NIC, and can be configured as such, allowing for printing and scanning through the PCs USB. It is how I used to test print with my tablet, before I got a docking station.Comment

The USB printer port may work with an older GDI driver however the regular USB port is not live for use even with a USB stick. The idea of using a USB to ethernet adapter in the PC makes the most sense.Comment
