    MX-FN27 inner finisher problems

Hello, I am working on a 3050N with fn-27 inner finisher and PN-14 hole punch. Customer is hole punching and stapling. The problem is on about 3 sets out of 10 the first page out does not coma back all the way6 and gets missed when stapling. It is off by about a quarter inch. It is always the first sheet out that does not get stapled. The machine is pretty new,I have tried cleaning the band rollers and rubber flappers ect but no difference. Hope someone else has suggestions or has seen this problem. Thanks for any help

I would clean again or replace the rubber flappers and also check the discharge tray and make sure it does not have any residue on it.

Different finisher, but same series of copiers. Check for static.

Agree with Trusted Tech. If the Unit is fairly new I have had issues with the feeds. I have used a Rubber rejuvenator spray depending how deep a cleaning they may need. Some times it's the paper too. Paper is cheaply made today and is full of moisture.

Thanks guys, I installed the latest firmware and cleaned the paper path of the finnisher with anti static spray. It didnt do the problem anymore while I was there so I guess Ill see if customer calls back or not. It seems good though.

SIM 3-10, set value J to the maximum of 10.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

I looked up the sim 3-10 value J and that looks very promising. If the customer has any more problems this sounds like it will cure for good. I think it is a static problem and my cleaning and firmware update took care of the problem but if it comes back i think this sim will be able to adjust for the belts to have more pressure to overcome static. Thanks

Sharp seems to be blaming static for a lot of things nowadays. I have had a few PCU pwbs on the new machines go due to "static". Grounding strap this retrofit, grounding clips in registration drive, etc....
I guess it is hard to find a good ground on a machine made of plastic.

That's why they tape a piece of static brush to paper feed areas and ground that to frame ground ( doesn't always work, if not cleaned and secured though).

Value J can be set only within 90-110. How to set 10?
