    [Misc] Squeaking

I have a MX-M565N (Orion) that is squeaking. it only squeaks when running the fuser motor with the fuser in or out. I have replaced the fuser drive motor and the rear fuser transport guide (ordered all the parts and built one). The squeak is slight, but the customer does not like it.

I would suspect the bearings in the fuser drive unit. May need cleaned and a drop of light oil. See section 54 in your parts manual. Also be careful when removing.
The inner bearings sit in the frame of the copier and may drop when removing the plate and shafts.

I use TRIFLOW oil on brass and plastic bushings... It has teflon infused in the oil ..best stuff I've found!

DO NOT use WD40 on brass bushings it will dry them out more

As like other Sharp models, check the fuser web to see if it is clogged. I have seen after big copy jobs that the fuser web does not move forward as fast as the copies can so the web gets clogged with carbon. Once you move web forward the noise will go away.
