FNX2 Stapling at startup and error code.

I have a customer who is doing maybe fifty prints a month on a MX3501 he bought second hand.

He doesn't require the stapling function at all.

The stapler is firing when the copier switches on and throws up an error code. He said F1-09 but it isn't in the service manual.

Is there a work around at all, he isn't going to put a board or staple unit in it due to the cost.

I guess I could pull the finisher but don't have an internal exit tray.

Check sensor s27 in finisher,it gets dirty and can cause this error,just blow it out.

Word from the field techs is that the sensors can go out. Check with sim 3-02 the Diag. Home Position Sensor and these STPROTHP, STPPSIHP, AND STPPS2HP.

Test the FLS solonoid in finisher
