MX-B401 Code E7-11

Hi All,

I'm working on a sharp MX-B401 that has a code E7-11 that is intermittent. I have reseated all connectors on the scanner board and scanner unit. I also cleaned the optics, glass and the reference plate. Any help would be great.

How does the LSU unit look/work? I've got a b402 I'm waiting on parts for that I believe had the same error due to the motor going bad.

I would say that your next step would be to replace the SCU PWB. Make sure the wire harnesses are in good shape (up to the scanner).

B401 are notorious for the white reference strip under the platen discoloring. Over time, the glue turns the white strip yellow, causing E7-11.
