    [Misc] Sharp AR M550U

keep getting clicking noise that I believe is from the toner cartridge. I'm familiar with the noise that is attributed to a full waste tank however this is a brand new cartridge with a different type of clicking (much faster when it starts. I manually rotated the toner cartridge(first time ever doing so) and noticed that there seem to be some bindinding which seems to have cleared up. Is this common with this copier or is there something else I'm missing???
    Thanks!!!
P.S. should the waste tank need to be emptied before toner in cartridge runs out??? Thanks!!!

If the waste tank had been overfilled I would inspect the waste auger on the front side of drum for the clicking noise. Have seen these packed full and the gears skipping. The waste reservoir is supposed to be able to last through the toner life but this doesn't always pan out.

      100%,agree with this.

I've seen many of those waste toner augers cache and cause that clicking noise especially near the end of toner life at 25%.

Luckily with a toner vacuum you can easily clean that auger in the process unit.

        Fuser bearings will also "click."
