[Misc] Admin password reset Sharp MX2650

How do you do, isn't there a person doing a way of a reset of an administrator password of MX2650 series of SHARP? I know a reset of MX2310 series. Thank you very much.

    By machine translation, excuse me.

On the Main pub there are two very small switches. Turn on #1 then u can get to sim 24 to reset admin.

Sharp have been moving away from the old dip-switch resets, for the newer models you have to request a password reset directly from Sharp. They will issue you with a reset code that can be used on the copier's web manager.

Not sure if this applies to you but was also told at school if you have a data security kit installed you cannot reset the admin password period on the newest generation of color machines.

          Good luck.

See photo of the reset dip switch. It is very tiny, the picture does it no justice. If you look at the MFP pwb metal cover, there will be a square hole where this switch is located on the MFO board.

On these new models you will have to contact Sharp to get the password reset. Sharp will give you a code that needs to be entered into the machine. No more dip switches.

                Hi,

this thread was really useful for resetting my MX2310u using the dipswitches trick mojorolla described. The only difference was the location of the dipswitch on the PCB, so I added a picture to clear that out.

The dipswitches were actually reachable without having to remove the metal cover, which I discovered only after removing it, as it goes....

                Good luck!

if you clone or replace the mSATA from other mx-2650, password "admin" again
