    mxm365 background on front edge

there is background on the front ( i mean the front of the machine)edge of the prints and copies
it seems like it is being written there by the lsu
its about 2 inches wide and when i switched direction to letter r that also had a background on the edge
    about 1 inch wide
if it were a mechanical problem it shouldnt have been on the
letter r print as it wasnt in that area on the letter print could this be caused by process control sensor being dirty?
    anyone experience this problem

i was wrong about the letter r it did fall into the same zone where the letter showed the back ground but it was less since it was slightly higher up when i centered it on the letter one i could see it on both

i went back to this machine and ran a bunch of copies with heavy solid areas and the background went away
sim 25-1 told me the developer tone was ok but i think there is a problem with the dv unit so i am gonna replace it
      i will post result thanks

Pictures would be nice as well. Some things to check though: I've had a problem with a MXM565 where it would put a shadow on the rear edge of every page. It turned out to be a defect in the drum process unit; something to do with the quench led plastic lens that is inside the unit. That machine had less than 200k, so it was basically new. Check and make sure the LSU is clean, as well as the rest of the machine. Are the drum seals leaking? Looking at the transfer roller will give you an indication of leaking toner. Just some thoughts.

        Hope it helps.
