    High Serria not printing

I have a mx2640 that was working fine until AT&T put in a new router. Then we could only connect through a wire connection. Now, out of the blue, the mfp will not print. If I change the IP and install as a generic ps printer it will print one time. I have seen issues posted about this operating system with printing issues in general. Does anyone know what the Mac fix is?

I'm confident that your either using airprint or IPP protocol.

    First. Reset printing system.
macOS Sierra: Reset the printing system

    Next install correct drivers.
    Product Downloads

    Choose 10.13 and install.

Then go to printers, addition sign, click IP, enter IP, and choose LINE PRINTER DAEMONS. NOT IPP.

    Your driver should appear as
    Sharp mx 2640 ppd.

    You're done.

    Good luck. [emoji108]

Jet Direct Socket is the better option to choose for printing, with LPD (aka LPR) the connection can get lost randomly; this happens with all brands, when printing from a Mac.
