I haven't run into this issue before, so here goes. A Sharp MX-B201D. Just replaced the drum, process unit and developer. Install its used cartridge and the machine doesn't recognize it. I install a new OEM one and I get the same. I cleaned out the contacts and even tried replacing the chip on the new cartridge just in case. It just will not recognize a toner cartridge. Praying it's not the PWB. Any thoughts?

Re: MX-B201D Saying "Install Toner Cartridge" with new cartridge
We tried the used cartridge that was in it when it came in, then we tried a new one off the shelf. The other tech just tried another used one, almost full, with the same result. We can't get rid of the toner message. This is a first for me with the Sharps. Thanks for the input. I appreciate any help I can get.Comment

Those units are kind of dumb, I might check the reassembly, make sure that everything is lined up and seated properly. If not that then I might check the firmware, see if there's been any reported issues like that.Comment

Ended up being the toner density sensor in the developer assembly. The unit had been vacuumed out without removing the sensor and static popped it. Thanks for all the replies, guys. You're awesome.Comment

One thing we use is
Amazon.com: 3M 497AJM 120V Portable Electronic Vacuum Cleaner: Home Audio & Theater
Though, truth be told $300 for a vacuum is kinda steep for a grounded setup.Comment
