Scan to Mac adventures. Network timeout errors.

So thank the Copier Gods Sharp finally released SMBv2 firmware updates for many MFP's and we can finally scan (SMB) to MAC High Sierra, drama free. We've been updating our fleets and clients are happy. IT personnel are happy too because we're not using a potential security risk protocol known as FTP.

But yesterday, to my dismay, I've failed to set up SMB scan to mac, on all the computers in network. I'm getting a network timeout error. I called Sharp, I increased DNS timeout to maximum 60 seconds to no avail. I know the DNS settings are correct because SMTP works great. I've troubleshot the error for almost 2 hours yesterday, and I'm stumped. Any ideas? Anyone seen this before with the new SMBv2 update?

Scan to SMB is a right pain in the neck on a Mac.

You need to check if the Sharp supports SMB digital signing and NTLM v2 authentication.
Also the time difference between the Mac and Sharp in question cannot be out by more than two hours.

I just read through the whole bulletin. Some information is actually really quite useful, thank you very much.

Sharp supports SMBv2 (for some models), and SMBv3 for higher end ones. I didn't check out the time though, that seems basic, and something I should of checked first. If I go back, re-post here and let you know.
