OSX job handling & authentication with adobe products

    Hello,

does anybody have experience with pdf printing from mac?
i have a problem when i want to use authentication or job retention in adobe products.

when i open a pdf file and i print it without going further to the printer driver interface, the job retention or authentication is not executed.
if i open the printer driver options without changing anything, then everything works.

i would like that i only have to click print without having to click to the driver preferences.

    thanks for any replies.

    greetings

This is a walkthrough for Savin/Ricoh MFP's, but pretty much everything you need for configuring printing with Authentication is going to be listed here.

      Thanks for the reply,

i have done all of the above, but the problem remains.
when i open adobe and i don't click through to the driver options of the printer, he does not authenticate or use job handling.
once i've been to the driver options and i start a new print job, the job handling and authentication works for as long as the adobe program stays open.

once you set up the job by clicking through driver, have you saved as a preset?

I see from one of the photo's it is set to TEST so I'm assuming yes.

So you are say the next time you print with TEST selected authentication does not work?

Try setting up a preset with another printer, with a different feature, duplex for example

If that preset does not hold either, I would say you have a MAC issue not a machine driver issue.

Have you tried resetting print system on the MAC?

macOS Sierra: Reset the printing system

          hi,

yes i saved it as a preset, i will try it with a different printer and get back to you.
i've tried it with different mac's and they produce the same issue.

          regards,

          youri
