5070, 6070 Image Quality

Having a few problems with the print quality on a few different client's 5070 & 6070 machines.

Compared to their previous machines (3650, 5141) these images seem very, very dark and grainy.

I have followed the colour calibration procedures, to the letter, on multiple occasions.

This is occuring via the print driver and direct from USB.

Anyone else had similar experiences or might have a solution.

I have also had the same crap quality on brand new machines in our showroom.

Examples would be nice. In my experience the color quality on originals seem to be pretty good on this series. Make sure the registration is good by using Sim 50-22.

61-13. reboot, 61-11 for all three modes (light, med and high density along bottom of screen)

Be sure to use good paper for best results.
A couple other things to check on these machines....
- 5070-6070, remove the cleaner unit and check for a plastic mylar behind the blade. This should be removed as it hazes the belt causing poor CQ
-remove belt unit and check for updated tension springs. While belt is out, clean pro-con sensors.
-clean lsu slit glasses as these models will drip gunk right onto the laser unit.
