Not sure of all the particulars in your case but.....

I had similar situation where the SMTP test would succeed and I could send a status message, but could not send to address book.....

It turned out that when the address book was created the addresses were copied and pasted into address book. (the status email had been typed in)

It appears that during the copy and paste there was some unseen code or character that was being transferred.

Try going into address book and simply re typing the address. Example if bob@usa.com is the address, delete it and type it again.

I know it does not make sense, but I have seen it with my own eyes.

No luck with new add added to machine. Question. The smtp setting are they set to what to router and password for the router. I'm thinking these are wrong. Can that be a problem in setup. Thanks

"The smtp setting are they set to what to router and password for the router."

No sure what you mean by the statement above.....

Settings must be set to a mail server. I would suggest setting up a free SMTP2GO account. www.smtp2go.com

Setting up a new Gmail account to use specifically for Scan to Email would suffice as well. Hope you get it figured out!
