    MX2614 E7-11 Error

    Hi just after some advice ,

    I have had 2 MX2614's in the past couple of weeks with the same error code....E7-11 ( white shading error )

    The error goes away after a reboot for maybe an hour then returns. Both machines have had the same work done on them to try to resolve but with no effect.

    Work done is

    All connections reseated , white plate cleaned and then replaced , scanner lamp replaced , scanner lamp pwb replaced (latest updated one fitted ) , mirror and lens replaced , ccd replaced and scu pwb replaced.

    Any ideas welcome..

      Are they on the same site?

      Electrical noise has been known to damage boards not sure whether it would be PCU or MFP

          seems you went with the most expensive and time consuming repairs. KISS... what about PCU and dev units? you never mentioned PAGE COUNT on the consumables?

          always start with 1) cleaning 2) consumables 3) boards/assemblies

              Thanks for the reply , i did clean everything 1st. Then followed instructions as per service manual. Why would dev units cause E7-11 when the fault is white shading error when the copy lamp is reading the white reference plate ??
              PCU sounds a good shout.

                  Go into SIM 63 data display. If CCD GAIN value is double digits, CCD needs to be replaced.
                  Depending on model, there is an OC and DSPF value....

                      maybe run the shading simulation(s)...
