    MX-C300w

    Hi everyone.

I have a custumer with two mx-c300 and maore Sharp machines.
One of the C300w, sometimes lost the network connection, but not the others.
The firmware version are updated, and the configuration is the same in the two C300w.
    Any suggestion?
    (excuse my very bad english)
    Regards

If you do not have it as a static IP address I would try that. Replace the ethernet cable into the machine and possibly try connecting it at another connection. You didn't say if you were using the wireless feature on this? If so then it just multiplied your potential causes. A little more information on what you have tried would be helpful.

    Good luck.

Did you try to change the IP to a different one?

sounds like you MIGHT have an IP conflict ... change IP addy and see if that runs right

            When you lose connection........

Disconnect the network cable and ping the IP address from a workstation.......if you get a reply, more than likely a cell phone or other network device has been assigned the IP address used by copier.

If this is the case client will have to create a reservation on DHCP server for the copier.

that's why I set them up on DHCP... then put that one in as a static addy.

most times it will take the customers IT dept 1 - 2 weeks to add the reservation ... so to save myself repeated " connection '" issue calls .. I just go static.

                Thanks to everybody.

I will try that customer IT change the IP or the port in his switch. (but, you know, sometimes customer IT its "special").

How does it lose connection? If the driver says "printer offline" it may be snmp causing it. Disable in the driver and it will force frint regardless of snmp communication
