Re: Sharp MX-2610 failed PAT test
"Why has the machine failed a PAT (Portable Appliance Test)? This is likley to be because the tester has tested the MFP as a portable I.T. appliance which has a very low target limit. All MFPs come under the heading of a Class 1 stationary I.T. appliance as specified in EN60950-1. this specification has a leakage limit of 3.5mA which our MFPs easily fall within."
Taken from the sharp tech site. I had this problem a few years ago with a PAT company too.
Get them to recheck and all will be fine.
Hope this helps.Comment

Re: Sharp MX-2610 failed PAT test
After reading some of the specs for the PAT requirements in the UK, I'm thinking It COULD be as simple as a bad power cord on the unit itself.Comment
