Hello,

Maybe a start of a beginneing of solution...

I have a mail, with a picture in it.
When printed from mail to my Sharp 2310U, it comes blurry...

When exported to pdf, openned with Preview, and printed, it comes blurry
When exported to pdf, openned with Acrobat reader, and printed, IT WORKS !
So the problem is not really from Sharp (?)

I'm going to test with various softwares

Never been a big fan of "Preview" in the mac OS. It's kind of like the Edge Browser in Microsoft... it tries to handle "everything", and in doing so it doesn't handle ANYTHING very well at all!!

Any customers I have with macs that have print issues, I tell them to try printing from Adobe, which usually resolves their problem.

But it seems it doesn't work neither with MSWord, neither with Ragtime (an old soft i still use...) Printing to pdf then printing the pdf is a hassle.

We do things that are a hassle every day. Like tell people not to open document in preview on Macs or Edge on Windows. They dont work correctly.

Hello - we're still waiting on the firmware update for our MX-2600N. Does anyone know if it has been issued yet? I know that it was issued for some of the other models that were affected. Our local vendor that performs the updates has not been helpful.

MX2600 introduced in 2008, I would not hold my breath for either new firmware and/or new drivers for that model.

Hi there, had this exact same problem yesterday with a MX2310 which worked fine until they updated to Mohave. Its the Preview program built into Mohave it doesn't seem to be able to handle printing PDF's with images on corectly. If you open the exact same document with Adobe reader and print the document will print fine. We downloaded a free version of Adobe reader and the customer now uses that and it works fine

The new drivers are available on IDNC.

With the driver, there is a "read-me" that tell : " NOTE: For Mac OS 10.14 Mojave Firmware Must be Downloaded and Installed."

Could you help me to manage that ?

Hello,
Here is some news,

I tried to install the driver from IDNC : no success (there is a read me inside that tell to update the firmware, but i haven't...)
So i looked for different drivers... :
- on siica.sharpusa.com : the only driver is for 10.10 to 10.13
- on sharp.fr : no driver, contact your reseller (if my reseller have had the solution, i won't be trying myself !)
- on sharp-world, without choosing a region : driver from 10.10 to 10.14 HA HA ! >> MX-C26c_1811a_MacPS.dmg (the older one is C26b). But disk image unmountable !
- on sharp.de : driver from 10.10 to 10.14 >> MX-C26c_1811a_MacPS.dmg, date : 13 MAY 2019 Yes !!!
I delete the printer from CUPS, install the driver, create the printer....
Still blurry...

My firmware are:
ICU (main) 07.00.G1
ICU (boot) 01.03.G1
ICU (sub) 01.09.G1
PCL (main) 05.00.G1
PCL (profile) 01.00.G1

Does anyone knows if there is an update for the firmware, and where i could get it ?
Such a shame my mfp won't work only for a firmware update problem...
