Sharp MX-2300N - Printing issues on inherited machine

Hi All,

We have recently moved to a new premises and the previous tenants have left us a Sharp MX-2300N, which they were using. The said the black toner needed replacing, and we have done that. However we are still getting issues with the printing. There are black lines across the pages, will attach example image.

The machine also has a maintenance error 'VK' on the display.

Can anyone offer some advice on where I might start to fix these problems? We are a small non-profit company so wanted to avoid any massive costs, trying to work out it if it more viable to fix this printer, or just lease a new one.

You want to call a Sharp certified technician; there are too many things that you could try that could make matters worst. A tech should be able to give an estimate for possible repairs; the VK is related to a consumable item that should be replaced.
The MX2300 is an older first generation copier/printer that the repairs may not be worth fixing, and a new machine might be the better option. IMHO

I agree with Zootech that you want to call a Sharp certified technician. Once you replace the VK you need to go to the sims and run the adjustment. There are parts you want to replace at the same time also, and maybe others.
