Good day or what ever time,I'm haven problem with sharp all 2020 it display F5 after I photocopy a document it stated displaying F5. letter I discovered that the scanner lamp is not lighting. Need help,Thanks in advance.

Use sim 5-3 to test the copy lamp. If it doesn't light up it is either the scanner unit or the MCU PWB. Also check the harness.

If this is the older SF 2020, the analog model, it could be as simple as a thermal fuse on the scanner unit, if your looking at it, its on the left side of the scanner/lamp unit when its moved over to the right.
These had a habit of blowing that fuse when the optic dust filter got dirty, blocks air flow, and it gets too hot, POW, no exp lamp, also unplug unit before you to remove one of the fuse screws, one side is hot electrically, learned that the hard way
.
If fuse is good, check lamp, the ends of them lamps would oxidize and not conduct at all,
now all this is if its the old SF model.Comment
