I've just set up a new MX M550 and the screen is dark, yet i can see the Sharp logo. However, after a couple of seconds the screen goes off and it appears the machine is dead. Any ideas?

I have not run into that problem, but it seems as of lately, the copiers seem to be banged up during shipping. To the best of your knowledge, does everything else seem to work ok. I would try to reseat all the connectors and if that does not work, try replacing the screen and the board it plugs into. They should cover it under warranty. -
Power issues on mx m550
I'm probably gonna get booted from this site and every technical site on earth for this, but i found the answer to my problem, and admitting it is somewhat embarrassing!! The fault listed is replicated if you turn on the internal power switch, but do not turn on the external one!!!!! In my defence, i was under pressure to get it out the door and had a delivery guy waiting for me! Sorry for wasting time!Comment
