    PostScript is for the MAC's.

Are these plans being printed from a PC?

What program? There maybe specific program requirements

Macs and Windows are BOTH capable of printing with PostScript...but Macs cannot natively print to PCL. Mac and Linux need PostScript.

The MX-M266 comes with PCL standard, and PostScript kit is optional (MX-PK11).

All of that would be in your application print settings (Adobe/FoxIt for PDF, Word for .doc/.docx). If the image was created as A3 (11x17 US), that's how the application will try and print it. If you change how you WANT the document to print in the app, then that's how it'll try and print....but it won't do it automatically. You need to tell it what you want.
