[Misc] What is MX-5070N USB B port

On the MX-5070N, what is the USB B type port used for? I assumed it was for printing from a PC but the port seems dead and not detected in windows when connected. I have several 5070's and they are all like this.

I believe it is for updating firmware.

I'm pretty sure that it is for USB printing, but it is turned off/inactive by default. You will have to activate it thru a sim or soft switch, although I cant remember which one.

      EDIT: Found it

As the default setting, USB device port on CR4 models is disabled for security and energy save reasons. If wish to print to the CR4 models using the USB print cable, the USB device port can be enabled in Sim26-50.

Thank you harps05. I didnt even think of the sim, figured disabling would be in the main user menu.
