Sharp MX-B455W TROUBLE: E7-11

Working on a MX-B455W and an E7-11 popped up told customer to turn off and turn on and this had cleared the issue, but recently now it wont clear. The scanner moves freely and lamps still light up but I tried a number of different things (listed below) and still have no luck next step I believe would be is replacing the CCD unit as a whole, but want some other ideas!

- Cleared trouble codes
- Updated firmware
- Cleaned white reference plate, glass and mirrors
- Tried calibrating with [SIM 63-3] with proper chart (wouldn't let me execute)
- Checked and re-seated all connectors on SCN-cnt-PWB
- Installed new SCN-cnt-PWB with old EEPROM

Check connection of the harness to the CCD unit.


Check connection of the harness to the scanner lamp unit.


Check the CCD unit / the SCU PWB.

We had this error on a Mx-4141 and were getting ready to replace the scan and/or ccd board and it ended up just having to reaseat connection to the CCD board
