Scan to email with Office 365

Had struggled with scan to email using an Office 365 account and these are my instructions to others:
    1) Make sure the firmware in use supports TLS 1.2 (Sharp has made available such firmware for most models in production the last 10 years)
    2) Obviously send to the Office 365 server - smtp.office365.com
    3) Be sure to set encryption level to "middle" in SSL settings in "Security Settings"
    4) Be sure to specify a return email address in the SMTP settings and make sure the SSL box is checked
    5) Then go to "System Settings" > Image Send Settings > Scan Settings and add the same email address that is used for Office 365 authentication. The sender name field must be completed also or you"ll get a CE-00 error. The reply email address set in #4 can be different than what is set here, but the important thing is that the address used to authenicate with the Office 365 server is identical to the one set in Scan Settings.

If your company doesn't have a Microsoft Office 365 account, you should get one. You get a lot for $5.00/month. Online access to all the Microsoft apps & office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc., as well as Sharepoint. At the very least, get someone's credentials that you can test with, especially when setting up Sharepoint on your MFP.
