    Techdata issues in the US

Has anyone else been having issues with techdata taking 5 or more business days to ship parts? Supply orders we still receive in a timely manner but for the past 3 months or so all of our parts orders take a week to get. Very annoying for our customers when a part breaks and their machine is down for an extended period of time.

Thank you for any input on this matter. Just wondering if we are doing something wrong or if this is happening around the US.

If I remember correctly there is a box when placing your order that specifies shipping time and you need to choose 2 day shipping. 2 day is not the default. We were recently bought out and I can no longer get to that area to give you more info on it. Good luck.

I don't do the ordering although that may change in the future. I thought it might be something like this but just thought it was odd. Thank you for the responses.

At least you guys can order through Techdata. Us small dealer CCR's got stuck ordering through distribution with an additional 20% tacked on.

It was nice to order from Collin's a few years ago. In an emergency, we would drive the 2.5 hours to get to cerritos just for an emergency part.

Also, the sales rep was super easy to talk to and gave me quotes within the hour. Good times.

We used to order direct through Sharp.

Same with us until a few years ago. We could still order parts through the B2B portal until a year or so ago but now everything HAS to go through techdata. We are a Sharp dealer but we still get a lot of stuff through 3rd party vendors as less expensive (surprise!) We are a very small company as well but still have access to all the Sharp sites.
