Does anyone know a way to enter service mode on Sharp MX 4140 when the Home key isn't responding?

You will have to figure out why the home key is not working.

Remote Op.....
Browse to IP of printer>>Go to Operation Settings>>>>Scroll 2/3 rds of the way down in main window, Look for Remote Operation
Go to Operation from Specified PC section..... change to Allow ..... in box below put in IP of PC you will be remoting from.
And Submit.....

Download and run TigerVNC viewer.....enter IP of copier....click connect.....in password field use admin password for copier.... default admin


At this point you should program should load a remote instance of the operator panel. You can get to SIM's in same manner as physical panel.

Use the keyboard and hit F-11 twice

Thank you for the information. The web browser and TigerVNC Viewer worked great to allow access to service mode while waiting for the new Home Key to arrive.
