Password change in machine but not web page(?)

Went to restore the default password changed by a disgruntled employee. Did the dip switch method and it changed back no problem. Could access all settings from the control panel on the machine. I went to show how to get to the web page to do settings from there. When I typed "admin" to get to those particular settings, it said it was incorrect. There were no other tabs to choose like system administrator, or user. Just the one. Do I have to change the password somehow for the web page as well somewhere ? I've had to reset passwords before and haven't seen this happen yet. If anyone has come across this anomaly, I would appreciate your insight on what might be happening. Thank you

When you use the dip switch it should of brought up 2 options. you need to reset both. One is for the admin password and the other one is for the web password.

      Good luck

Aside from the suggestions above make sure you only use Internet Explorer for web page access. Chrome, Edge and Firefox will sometimes add a space in the password field and cause an incorrect password error.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I may or may not have to go back there, but it's good to know now if I see it again.
