When you configure the driver and add all the accessories, there is a box to check for Data Security Kit. I have noticed a few drivers lately that do not have them checked when the MFP does have a security kit, so I checked this box. My question is... why does the MFP seem to function fine without this box checked when the MFP has a security kit installed on it? Does it even matter if it is checked?

yes it matters if it is checked and the machine has a dsk. usually docs wont print or print blank if you have a dsk and it isnt checked. newer machines use a totally new data security method and driver and thus do not require the same driver option configuration when a dsk is present
