I may be looking to buy a few of these. does anyone have any feedback on if they are good or not. we mainly are Ricoh so I'm hoping I can get some info.
It's a 10 year old mfp, so Sharp no longer supports it. But as long as the firmware is up to date and the tsb's have been addressed it should run good.
Having worked on both, the cheaper to maintain I believe would be the Sharp, but I have not worked to alot of mono Ricoh boxes but from my experience with Ricoh is that the fusers could be expensive to replace. However, you said you are a Ricoh dealer so you may get Fusers at a lower cost than a non dealer or you may know a few tweaks to make it more affordable for your company to maintain it.
If we were talking about color, hands down the Sharp is cheaper to maintain then a Ricoh from my experience.
The MXM6570/MXM7570 are solid and great running machines. We have some in schools and 1 in a printing company. The one in the printing company had 9852 prints in the first week of operation before they ran a partial sheet of labels through and got one stuck to the drum. Our tech in that area had never seen one of those and is a newbie to copiers. He said it was an easy fix to replace the drum.
I have seen old 753 machines with 5 plus mil on them average...i had one make 9 mil. i have seen a few 754s with 4-5mil. 6570 is essentially an upgraded 754 with newer features and controller. all are great machines and can pretty much run PM to PM without issues providing you take care of them on the PM cycles.
