Ask your service agent for their pricing on the MX-PKX1. This is the Postscript expansion kit. You cannot activate PS without it.

The Activation code is an Algorithm which involves the machines serial number...............
which is written into the program/software on certain IC's on the MCU, and other PWB's on newer models.

So any old Activation Code will Not work..

If for example the Generic Activation Code for this function is 999999..

Machine number 1 has a serial number of 123456, the Algorithm will then generate an an Activation Code of 876543, which when added to Machine 1 serial number... equals 999999 - the Generic Activation Code for the Function.

Now if you have Machine 2 with a serial number of 987654 and you use the Activation Code 876543 from Machine 1, it gives an Generic Activation Code for this function of 1864197...... and the machine promptly gives you TWO FINGERS and turns itself off..

There are Two ways around this, change machine 2's onboard Serial number to that of machine 1 ..
..Or Know the the Generic Activation Code for the Function.... which maybe written in 8, 16 or 32bit computer language and you then have to convert the machine number to 8, 16 or 32bit, work out the difference and convert that number back to Denary and input into the Machine.

        Electronic Cryptography 101..... lesson ends
