Multiple pages into individual

Hi guys,

Just want to ask is there any other way we can put the shortcut of changing separates pages into home screen of scanning? Which is the client are always need to go system setting and change it everytime they will scan documents which is like almost everyday day are doing scanning and separating it into different files not only 1 page per file but more or less 3 to 8 or 10 pages per file.

What you want to achieve is dependent on the model.
For example, on the last 3 generations of devices, you can simply tick the box for 'Specified Pages per file' within the File Format tab. With that option ticked, you are telling the scan to split into separate files of whatever page amount you say.
There is no need to enter System Settings and set new defaults for this feature, it is done on an as-needed basis.
You can't actually edit the scan home-screen, only add favorites or shortcuts for common scan features.
If you can advise what model you are working on, you'll receive a more complete answer on this.

Sorry for not mentioning the model. Its mx2310u tho its not new. Is it possible for this model to achieve the one you said. If yes can you please advise for the steps need to make because i only see that specified pages per file through system setting of scanning setting.

Yes, the MX2310U has this setting.
Look under File Format tab, you should see the option for Specified Pages Per File. Its a box which can be ticked.
If you enter the number 5 for example, and you have 20 originals in the document feeder, you'll receive 4 attachments of 5 pages each, in order of the originals.
If there is no tick in the box, your 20 originals will be sent as one attachment of 20 pages.

This works great if you always want a 4 page file, for example.

More times than not customer wants to split file at random spots. Example one file 3 pages, next file 5 pages, next 2....etc.

When this is what the customer is after, I have recommended this software as a solution.

You can also do the necessary settings and then save it as a favorite on the device. This way if they select the favorite all the settings are good.
This is very handy if they have to do a lot of settings on many occasions.

The suggestion I submitted is adjusted by job, not a permanent setting.
