    Sharp MX2651 Color - Tray-2 11 x 17 Print Issue

Having issue with Tray - 2 Printing 11x17.

Look things over last week - all good. Just got another call with issue.

Tray and computer set to 11x17 plain paper. They send a job it comes up
    as a jam.

    Also check feed rollers. Good.

    Any help appreciated!

Bro... c'mon man give us more info than that!

But sure, I'll help you. With the information you provided I would ask you if you checked the following:

How is the -Roller life count? Is there paper in Lift motor? Broken Lift coupling? Paper jammed in lift plate? Faulty lift plate? How's the pick up coupling? Torque limiter? Flat spot in Sep roller? Worn transport rollers? Broken flag? Dirty sensor? Faulty Sensor? Pinched harness for sensor? Jam code? Jam location? Type of paper? Humidity? Tray mylar in good condition? Bent? How about firmware? What drivers are you using? To what ports?

For the love of God man... we need more information.

      Good luck, you'll need it.

I am working from home and do not have the SIMMs Report for detail. Was offering info based on memory. More to come.

I'm not much for luck when it comes to repair.

I thought I'd put out a quick question on the copier I had an issue with.

I forgot that I had left my paperwork about the machine at work.
But I didn't think the issue could be too large - it's a new machine.

The long and short of it, my installers did a great job putting together the
machine for the client. What they missed was the paper deck connector.
          Could have happened to anyone.

That was the issue. But I appreciate the responses. A questionable repair of a copier I
have found over the years is usually a simple fix. You know the old adage - Keep
          it simple stupid.

          Dummy me. Or, dummy installer.

          Thanks guys

how did the builders run sim 50-10 for image alignment?

It is supposed to be run out of each tray.

Sounds like your shop guys need more training.

Installing a machine? Your right. Through deduction, I figured out the issue.

Not sure that would have fixed the problem. Client was not able to
print or copy from tray two. Tray Two's connector was not fully seated.
When said connector was fully seated, Tray Two, through a Miracle of God,
                  Started to Work!

Setting up Simms - 50-10 is a good thing to do, but that wasn't going to fix
                  a connector issue.

By the way, three weeks I almost died. I had not been able to spend the time to
give full measure to the issue - but I knew I'd fix the issue, I've done so the last 35-years.

When I threw out the question about the tray I thought I might find out something I
might not have thought of or maybe there was something with the "new" machine that
                  had a problem.

                  Thanks for your response.

If the sim had been run they would have noticed before delivery they had a problem, not in the customers office.

That assumes that the machine was complete - built prior to delivery, which was not the case.

The machine was assembled - Copier to Base - at client's office. It was then Tested - Copying from both Trays, and
                      all worked fine.

I question why you are so intent to show how stupid I am and how smart you are?

                      Thank you for sharing.

The last two copier companies i have worked for had shop techs for setting up copiers.

I assumed the same for your company.

My mistake, you know what they say about assuming something, and I guess I made an ass of myself.

I was not trying to make anyone look stupid, just did not have all of the facts and made an error.
