Mac OS on Sharp MFP and MX-PK**

    Hi,

Please I have some doubt about sharp MFP (MX-M315NV, MX-4051, MX-M5050) are they working with MAC OS without installing the MX-PK11/13 option.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Pretty sure you need a postscript kit for all of them.

Mac OS supports Postscript (PS), laserwriter (obsolete), and Guetenprint drivers. If they don't make Guetenprint drivers, which emulate PCL, for your Sharp then the only other option is adding PS on the copier.

You must have the postscript option installed to "properly" print from MACOS for all models of sharp. Sharpdesk is not supported by MACOS as well, and must be configured via SMB

No, none of these support PostScript with their standard configuration.
Griffin (3050,4050,5050) and Griffin2 (3051,4051,5051) series generally doesnt support it.
          You would need to take a Phoenix/Phoenix2 e.g. 3061 - 4071.
Same goes for the B/W machine you would need an Orion (MX-M365N, M465N, M565) or B-Phoenix (MX-M4070,M5070,M6070).

So if you're still deciding about buying machines you would need to go with these ones for your Mac workplaces, otherwise you will need:
          • MX-PK13 for the MX-4051 and the MX-M5050
          • MX-PK11 for the MX-M315N
