MX3071 C4-00

So I have a machine I took out of an office and swapped because of this very intermittent issue. I'm using it in my office and it just had a C4-00 on the display. BUT..I get a 23-2 and there is no C4-00 since the beginning of August but I do have P_ON jams and DOP jams. When the C4-00 happens it DOESN"T list it in the 23-2 but it does have the jams listed at that time of the C4-00. Checked the MC and TC pwb's, all look good and connectors are seated fully. Any suggestions?

Might be same as the older models, have you try a new PTC yet? if yes could be voltage leakage on the PTC holder need to be replace.

I believe the paper jams due to device immediately stop when the C4-00 error prompts.

Absolutely, twice actually. Removed and reinstalled MC pwb and TC pwb. Machine date is early 19 so the ptc holder is the newer one. VERY intermittent issue that is what sucks. Wish I could have a hard failure to remedy it.

Next, if you have eliminated any kind of drum charge shorts, according to the service manual replace these following boards 1) PTC PWB 2)TC PWB 3) PCU PWB.

Replaced TC pwb and machine has not coded since. We will see.

How has this series been treating you? Are the fusers any better then the prior series?

You have to replace the PTC holder and not the PTC. LHLDZ2540FCZ3

Or first try cleaning the PTC holder from any debri that might be a cause for a weak or bad connection.
