When viewing the machine info from MICAS, I can see the toner levels in one percent increments. But, when on-site, all I can see is 25% increments. I've looked through System Settings/SIMS, but haven't found a solution. Soft-switch? Sometimes, a toner cartridge feels very close to empty, but don't want to throw away good toner. This question pertains to most new Sharp models, not just the 4071.

Re: MX-4071 Toner Levels
Wish Canada could get MICAS.
When i setup my machines i set 26-69 A=1
This turns off the preparation alert.
Every copier ive checked in Sim 22-14 will always have +1 Installed, 0 Near end, and number of used toners.
IE Installed 5, Near end 0, End 4
With the auto ejection system the toners should be completely depleted.Evil will always triumph because good is dumb. -
Re: MX-4071 Toner Levels
MICAS Mobile will show you the life of the toners in 1% increments.

I wonder if a machine sold through Sharp Canada could be registered in MICAS? Have you heard a reason why Canada doesn't have MICAS?
I contacted our SEC Service Rep about a MX-5051 dumping yellow DV as I couldn't find any documentation on it. He sends me an e-mail with photos and tips. A few days later someone on here posts a bulletin from Sharp Canada (maybe you?) about this with much more info that I was given. He may have even sent me two of the same photos. I don't understand the disconnect between countries. I have ran into this before with bulletins from Australia that addressed a problem that seemed to be top secret here.Comment

Re: MX-4071 Toner Levels
My opinion here.....
I've seen this many times as well. I believe because the USA is such a litigeous country. The vetting and/or approval process to release anything here probably requires many more "rubber stamps", than say Canada or Austrailia.Comment

No, it shows them in 25% values. So does SIM 22-14. So does the home button double tap.Comment

Re: MX-4071 Toner Levels
Circled shows Life of the toner which is what has been used, not Residual or Remaining.Comment
