Is the Sharp MX-M503N with the latest firmware smbv2 capable? I keep on getting CE-00 error when trying to set up a shared folder on the server.

Re: MX-503N SMBv2 capable?
And 2019 firmware for this model:Release Date: October 2017 File Name: Jupiter3_Combi_0304j3v0_A.zip Versions: Special Firmware for SMB2 Client Support Version 0304j3vO_
Release Date: April 2019 File Name: Jupiter3_(with HDD)_Combi_0304j3w0_B_0.zip Versions: Special Firmware for Security Improvement. TLS v1.2 support. KRACK WPA2 vulnerability measures
2019 version will enable the SMBv2 support. If you're getting that code, most of the time it's an issue with shared permissions. First, re-flash firmware (doesn't cost a thing, and it's a 5min detour). Second, check your User Name, Password, make sure that it's going to an IP address and not the Hostname. Check the PERMISSIONS in the shared folder.
If all else fails, and this takes you longer that 30 mins, just use Network Scanner Tool Lite by Sharp Corp:

Good luck my friend.
*Note* Again, reflash firmware first. **Comment

Re: MX-503N SMBv2 capable?
Thanks for the replies. I am almost certain, it has the latest special firmware, but, I will re-flash just to be sure. Sam, thanks for the pointers, I thought about using an IP instead of host name, I will have to give that a shot, I will talk with their IT dept. As far as I know, from what I was told, is that the folder has full sharing permissions, we have a few small Kyocera's in this client as well, I may try to set up scanning on one of the M2535's to see if that has issues connecting as well.
When I set the name in the address book I used, \\server\shared folder and used the username and passcode I was given. This all started when they wanted fax forwarding set up. I kept on getting CE-00 error, so I set the mfp up to scan just to that folder and received the same error.Comment
