One of my customers has a B402SC with a little over 1M clicks. Runs fine but the image shifts ever so slightly (+/- 3mm) toward the trailing edge every 2-3 pages. For normal printing that would be unnoticeable but on certain charts (that she prints in landscape and with narrow margins) it is obvious because part of the last column is getting cut off. Never a jam, maintenance is current, cleaned PS unit rollers, looking for some help to figure out a track to follow to figure this out. PS unit replacement? PS clutch? It seems like a timing issue more than a process issue. Thanks in advance!

Re: Image position/placement problem on B402SC
First, I would determine of the shift occurs from all trays. If it does, PS clutch and and registration roller would be suspect.
If it only does it from a certain tray, feed clutch would be suspect.
If its a print that close, have her print the chart at 97% zoom..easy way out.

Re: Image position/placement problem on B402SC
Replace the paper feed drive unit.
Part #CFRM-1409FC32
This includes all clutches in the transport, PS, and feed from tray #1.
I have done several of these and it always fixes the issue you are discribing.
It takes less than 10 minutes to replace.Comment
