Never had this one before, when scanning checks, it won’t let you (paper goes through fine) just plain copying no problem.Thanks for any input. Almost forgot you can copy check and rescan it it works....

are you enlarging for shrinking the image?

this is a security feature built into most units now a days.

and use the flatbed instead of ADF

flatbed is a no go also.any way to change defaults?not enlarging or shrinking

WHY is flatbed a no go? when making a copy select enlarge/reduce ratio.

Security feature....checks, bank notes and stocks certs are prohibited. There should be a corresponding error in the job log.
We had a naughty customer....

Make sure you are scanning in black and white as well. Not color

Scan using the Mono 2 setting

google "eurion constellation", its on cash and some higher value checks

Make sure you scan in mono only, not in color. This is an anti-counterfeiting feature built into all new scanners as required by federal law.

on some machines you can get it to scan color if you put a sheet of paper on top of the check. i believe the guideline is that it has to be plus or minus 20 percent in size if color to prevent counterfeiting. mono should work regardless.
