Need and explanation on this- TT-012916_4

We have an MX-3570N that we removed a finisher from, I removed the exit assembly and removed hidden screw for the bin shifter. We now get an L4-11 error, the machine was produced after the earth ground wire update, so it has it. I was looking at the TT and TT-012916_4 basically says this "
The MFP does not come with a Shift Motor; the machine requires a Finisher to be installed." Do we need to add a Shift motor?

The shift motor comes with the exit tray cabinet. I believe the number is MX-TU16. You may be able to bypass the code by disabling sorting, but I haven't tried that before, so I'm not 100% sure if that would work. I don't believe the shift motor is available as a stand alone part in the U.S.

You are correct, the TU-16 comes with the motor.

You can by-pass the shift motor error by ......

        SIM 55-1
        softswitch 24
        data 7 = 1

this will allow you to use without the shift motor, but you will not get offset stacking
