Void Streaks/Lines while printing TIFF and JPEG multiple models

I have come across this problem in the past week on an MX-2610N and MXB401 both have been fully firmware updated, drivers updated etc.. both using windows 10

When the customer prints tiff or jpeg the images come out with random void streaks vertically across the pages. 1 in 4 or 5 pages might print ok. Work around for now we have the customer convert to pdf and print and seems to be fine doing that. Are we looking at possible print boards on this issue? Thank You for any help.

and yet we keep paying Billie Gates for his shitty products.

you can search the forums to see all the brands that have the issue.

If it is a board issue, it looks like probably the MFPC PWB. Both machines have this board with the same description, while the 2610 also has a Printer Control PWB which says that it "Converts print data (PCL/PS) into image data". Being as the 401 does not have this board, and none of the other PWBs have the same description in the manual, I would lean toward the MFPC PWB.
That being said, it might be possible that the issues are happening before the print driver converts them to be sent to the MFP. Are these saved files that print better when converted to PDF, or pictures being printed directly from the internet or email that print better when saving them as PDF before printing? Sharp drivers sometimes have issues with things being printed from the internet. Best practice is to always save the file to the computer before trying to print it, regardless of type of file

I can't think of one brand that doesn't have problems printing web pages due to the multi-layered page.

Much like Adobe has with un-flattened files.

they also recommend switching to PCL6 drivers for this

              Phil is spot on.

Printing a jpg in Microsoft Office Picture Manager has a wide void while the same jpg printed from Paint is fine. But like Phil said the fix is a stepping back the MS update.

Just to re-affirm, this windows update issue also hit HP plotters. Nothing like a 5 inch void in your d sized drawings, lol

Changing print drivers was how I fixed it in this case. pain in the @ss!

Normally it is the KB500082 update that causes problems.
If you install the KB5001649 the problem should be solved in most cases.
If not fixed remove KB500082 and run "wushowhide.diagcab" (just google it and download) to make sure the update doesn't install itself again.
