    AR-M317 Grey lines after F9-88 & F6-80

Hello everyone. so i was onsite the other day at this classic machine the client had a power surge and after that the machine would just throw up the f6-80 and f9-88 codes. I was able to clear those codes by reseating cables and the fax board in the back of the machine (perodically the f9-88 will show up again but with reseating the cables it goes away so could be more of a issue there). The really weird thing for me atleast is that once i had the machine running again i did a few test copies and it looked fine decent enough quality. But when the customer did a test print or even if do any internal prints from machine the background would be all grey and white lines. (link below for sample image). I tried to reset the printer settings did nothing at all. Checked Dev bias in simulation seemed to be ok was not able to update firmware as we do not have the cables for it. Any sort of help or suggestions would be greatly appreicated. thanks in advance.

Looks like a laser issue. Seeing there was a surge I'd guess it might be toast. That thing belongs in a museum anyway

I guess it could be but doing a photocopy works and looks perfectly fine. Those lines only show on prints. We have ties to get them to upgrade but all of our samples are black enough for his needs unfortunately.

I agree looks like a laser issue.

But....why do copies come out OK?

MCU board is common in both the F9-88 and F6-80 codes.

How are you printing to this? USB? Or does the machine have an optional print board?

Do incoming faxes show the grey lines?

Can you print to this machine via USB? ( I can't even remember if it's possible on this machine)

If you can print USB do lines appear?
