How to download MX-PK11

hey guys I have a question. I have a old client that will like to print from a mac to an aged MXM266N MFP. how to i apply or get the product key to enter into the MFP? Thanks in advance.

First you will have to find and buy the PK11. If you go the eBay route then be careful because many of the PS kits have already been registered and the seller really has no idea what they are selling.

Once you have the PK11 you go to Sharps Product Key site and enter the copier model, SN, product (PK11) and the key that comes with the PK11. You will then get the Product Key to unlock it on the copier or it will be emailed to you. The Sharp Product Key site requires a dealer login.

Also check driver availability.....
what MAC OS is the client printing from and does the M266 w/pk11 support it.

Gotta love it, money for Macs AND a couple hundred $$$ for the PS option to keep a M266 going.....oof!

A cheap desktop box to replace would be cheaper, more reliable and would make you look good...my 2 cents.

You might be able to get it printing from the Mac without Postscript. Try using "generic PCL driver" and change protocol to "Line Printer Daemon". If it works, the only downside is the extra tray / finisher options will be missing.
