    [Error Code] Sharp MXC301W F6-00

I have a machine that keep throwing this error.
F6-00 MFPC PWB - FAX communication trouble.

This client does not use the fax function and has no phone line connected to machine.

Is there a way to simply disable fax function?

I would rather disable than replace boards to repair a feature that customer has no use for.

    Thank you.

The fax is a separate board on this machine, just take off the rear cover and disconnect it. when looking at the rear of the machine, it is on the lower left corner on its own frame.

      Thanks...

      I tried removing that first

When you take out the LIU board you get immediate F6-21
When you take out the Fax main pwb you get immediate f6-00

i never got to go back to see the customer, however I spoke with the Tech who did, and he mentioned he simply cleared the code with crop 14.
        And it 'fixed' it.

I do not see a way to disable the fax.

We had a MX-C301W that had a F6-00 out of the box and replacing the MFPC PWB was the only way we could fix it.

The MFPC PWB is pricey and appears to be currently unavailable.
