    Sharp MX-453n

Hello, I just replaced the fuser unit on the Sharp MX-453N because of the H3-00 error code. I am stilling getting the error code H3-00. So, i Performed the following # * C * and then the number 14 and then hit the B/W start button and then 1 for yes and CA. Now it is stuck on simulation finishing for about 20 minutes. Does anybody know what else I can do?

And did you retry clearing the code with SIM14 and rebooting fully (with CA) ?

H3-00 Fusing section high temperature trouble (TH_UM)

Use SIM14 to cancel the trouble.
        Replace the thermistor.
        Replace the PCU PWB.
Check connection of the connector and the harness.
        Replace the HL PWB?

Hello, I hope I am doing this right on the sim 14? Can you give me specific instruction on the fully reboot sequence? I really appreciate you trying to help me.

          THX, Brent

You do the SIM14 like you said in your first post, press the CA button, you'll have "Simulation finishing" and the copier will reboot after 3 to 10 seconds.
If it's stuck on "Simulation finishing", we can guess it was not the fuser the problem but the PCU board.

              Hart,

So it definitely was not the fuser. So is the next step the PCU Board? You do not happen to have the part number for that part?

              THX,

              Brent

Hello, Thank You for responding. Is there a procedure to test the thermistor? As far as the board I do not know how to check to see if it functional.

                  THX,

                  Brent

Is the fuser actually heating up or does it go right back into the code after you clear with Sim 14? I think it's Sim 44-14 or 44-13 you can check the temp the thermistors are reading.

Fuser plugs into the PCU for the Thermistors the lamps are on the HL PWB as shown in post above.

Either your thermistor is bad, or the HL PWB is keeping the lamps on or the PCU is telling the HL PWB to keep the lamps on. Either way, thats a old machine. Probably time to upgrade.

Hello, thanks for responding. I installed the new fuser and tried to clear the code with SIm 14 and it stops at finishing simulation and never reboots to the screen. I turn it off and on and it goes back to H3-00.

                        THX,
