    Sharp MX-4101N firmware

    Good day,

I am a computer tech who recently started working in a new department. One of my first tasks was to prepare several Sharp MFPs for surplus. Per department policy, this involved pulling the HDDs, wiping them, replacing them, and ensuring they could still pass paper. This worked for three of the four printers I was given, and I am having trouble with the last one. Most of my experience has been with Xerox and HPs in the past.

For the last printer, an MX-4101, I have pulled the HDD, wiped it, and replaced it. Now, when I power on the printer, the control panel reads:
    Code:
    Main program error
    Emergency Prog Init
    Please wait

    Version Check
    IcuM:ROM UNUSUAL
Through other threads on this board I found the emergency firmware installation procedure, and the local service company provided me with three firmware files. One of them worked for the other 4101 I was working on, but none of the three worked on this last printer. I do believe this one has a DSK installed. The three firmware files I have look like this:
    Code:
    Printer firmware dsk - icu0402Jcf0rom.sfu - 59,048k
    Printer firmware non-dsk - CJPT2_MAIN_0500J2.sfu - 57,7098k
    Printer firmware dsk (older) - CJPT2_DSK_0501Jc.sfu - 58,142k
None of these firmware files (renamed to emupdate_J2.sfu) has worked; the printer seems to start the Emergency Program, and then just stays on ROM UNUSUAL. The service company told me they did not have other firmware for this model printer.

If I press the Job Status button it cycles through the following information; I don't know if that's helpful.
    Code:
    IcBM:0104J
    c00conf:0100J200
    iccn:0102J200
    UNCD:01000000
    WHLP:0110J200
    CPFL:0100J200
    FPDL:01000000
    Fesc:04000003
    SPDL:0107P20c
    LANG:Z163P200
    GRPH:0103J200
    Dani:0100J200
    scum:0114J200
    pcum:0115J200
Am I missing something critical? If the printer does have a DSK, did wiping the HDD irreparably brick the machine? Is there other firmware to try?
    Thanks for any assistance.
