internal test prints stink MX 4070V

OK this is kinda weird we have a MX-4070 V that when you use sim 64-1 (Test Prints) and position A setting 10 the colors including black are all very muted or faint. The funny thing is when you are calibrating the machine the calibration sheets and the resulting machine response sheet are vibrant. Prints from a computer are fine as are copies have any of you seen this.

    Thanks

64-1 quality depends on the combination of A,B,C,D.
64-1 tests come from the LSU control PWB, so there are no profiles, intents, dithering, quality or halftone settings like 64-5 uses (MFP source).
The best use of 64-01 is the 4 color halftone check, which is A11, B2, C2, D255. From that test, you can isolate any individual color issue or component affecting all 4 colors equally such as Transfer or Fuser. This is the same test on all MX models dating back over a decade or more.
Use 64-5 PCL test page after completing the calibration pages to show how the printer is performing, not 64-1.

Hi there I normally use 64-1 a 11 b 2 c 2 d 255 to check main charge and drums as this print will show any problems just remember first to clean the slit glasses and main charges first with the green and grey sticks.
