This was more simple than expected but drove me crazy for a couple of days.
Machine was tested in-shop, everything worked perfect, when it was delivered to customer and was setup it froze a couple of times, frozen screen, no response to touchscreen or any buttons, nor web interface, no errors on screen, the only way to revive was hard power off from main switch inside front cover. Never the less the machine was configured, but the very next day the customer called complaining about the same problem. I went back, checked all the settings everything looked good, the the machine was indeed freezing and way more often so I decided to update the FW which did nothing.
We decided to take the machine back to the shop, we left a small loaner that worked just fine, scan, print, fax and copy.
With the machine in-shop, we started testing and was not able to duplicate the problem, in the shop it worked perfect !!!!
Took the machine back to customer and freezing again immediately....
Turns out the problem was the network cable coming from the wall jack, yeap same jack worked fine with the previous machine and with the loaner machine cause older machines have 10/100 mps nic cards, but the new machine at 1000mps (gigabit) causes way too much collisions, data corruption and WEIRD problems, lesson learned, because it was working before, don't thing it should work now.
I hope it helps, it sure drove me crazy.
