MX-M363N needs firmware

Have a MX-M363N that we've been given at our new office and it boots up, gets on network, can access admin & service pages. But will not perform any function. Only error E7-21 which cannot be cleared.

Would like to update firmware as may be communications issue. Have a new laser unit to go with it.

Does anyone have firmware I can use to flash the machine you can put on dropbox or wetransfer?

Don't wait around. Throw that laser in it to fix your problem.

OK. Then flash with firmware, yes? Which is why I asked if anybody was willing to share. Thanks for the help.

Your original post implied you had a laser ready to go. I am telling you to install the laser as that's the most likely remedy. Firmware hasn't been released in 8 years on this model. You have a laser code, go with the laser.

Yup. Popped the laser unit in, and no change. E7-21 indicates bad module, or bad communications which can be due to firmware mismatch. Or dead component. So before junking the machine I thought maybe I would see if anyone happened to have some fw they don't mind sharing which would allow me to give it a whirl because it's probably not worth throwing any more parts at a Sharp this old.

FYi, FW no help in this issue..repalce the LSU ...we already fix many units e7-21

I wish. Already replaced the LSU and no joy. Updated firmware to rule out communications issues and also not fixed. Therefore given the age of the unit, we're going to scrap it. If anyone is in the Dallas TX area and wants it let me know quickly.
